tax credit = $7,500

that cost about 40K+ to buy. plus retrofitting the prius voids your warranty.
-
I like this car but I am not able to aford 30k. this car needs to be 12k to 15k for most of us. how about that GM? can you make it for the masses.
-
The price will be way to high for 95% of us.
They have it all together pay GM instead the oil company. The public will be the big loser
and the planet.

Neil, Pessimistic much? At the time, there was no realistically usable answers for the first four. I see that you posted that at the onset of the video. Understanding that, it doesn't mean it won't be produced.

yeah since he's answering questons, why were the EV's pulled, which coincided with california's passing of 10% no emmision car mandate? i smell car manufacturers in cahoots with big oil. there's only that explanation.
notice now that demand since 2007 has fallen for oil. and people are searching for alternatives to oil totally. the first manufacturer that puts out an electric car is going to be a cash cow.
-
I'm sure they said the same thing about the EV1
-
@Neil2112 - Yes it will! GM has over 200 engineers and 50 designers working on this vehicle alone and has put a considerable amount of money into the project. If they put so much into the Volt project, don't you think that they intend to build it? The only thing slowing the process down is battery technology.
-
that is a great question.

how does it heated in the cold winters of northern climants? Also there is little comany in canida that are takeing the prius, retrofitting w/ same type bat and basicly doing the same exact thing. Hymotion is the name and there not even a fort 500 company. ps. Toyota is already selling PHEVs in japan.
LIAR! LIAR! PANTS ON FIRE! You want to sell a real EV about as much as I want to marry an alligator.
You don't want to sell EVs because you know you'll never be able to sell us tune-ups, oil changes, fan belts, mufflers, catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, clutches, timing belts, transmission overhauls, or a thousand other parts or services EVs don't need.
