@mandyX2000 i think my house has the same locks and ive used a metal wire hanger and straighten the hook on it then put the hanger in the hole and youll definantly feel the single pin mechanism in it and just push up its really really easy

maconbike to Mandyx2000. sounds like you have a bathroom lock on your room. Stick a small screwdriver or knitting needle in the hole, will unlock the door.

my door in my room has a tiny hole but my dad said it does not come with a key but the door does lock, do you know what kind of door knob that is and if i have to lock my room door what is used to open it?

maconbike- I am a locksmith. Why are you sending people to hardware stores instead of a locksmith?  Also, bad guys generally will try to destroy a handle rather then pick it. A good quality deadbolt with maybe an interlocking plate is good.

that was one reason second reason is warranty? 6 dollar locks have none where as the hundred dollar lock has lifetime waranties in place.. third they make is different where the 100 dollar look is strong and will hold up for the next thirty years when you find after your second year with a 6 dollar lock the inside knob breaks and your forced to buy another.. one thing people should know is only spend your money once

thats not true locks range in price because you get what you pay for.. a cheap china lock has key blanks that they copy of american style but the grooving/pattern in the blade of the key is different. this inturn means locksmiths such as myself my uncle and father who have been sucessful in our trade and have been doing so in the past fifty years cannot buy the key blanks because they arent availble.. at the end of the day you do get what you pay for.
