The Casino's carousel, PTC #87, in October 1990. Taken the last day it ran. When it's gone, it's gone forever!

  • A PTC #87, just like waht Idlewild has!

  • I saw the carousel band organ, a Wurlitzer 153, was on auction a while back

  • Wow. That is really sad. I rode this as a little girl when I visited my Nana in NJ. Mom always took us to the Palace and Carousel. Seeing this took me back over 20 years. Both my Nana and the carousel and Palace are now gone. This made me cry. I felt like that kid again....

  • I'm so sad that ride is gone. It was PTC carousel #87, the last one that Philadelphia company built. By that last day, all of the original wooden horses had already been swapped off and sold. Last Summer I dropped by Asbury Park and saw that round pavillion all boarded up. I remember riding that carousel and the one that used to be in the Palace across the street. The Palace is now gone completely.
