An impressionistic view of Coppicing,
a traditional method of woodland
management in which young tree stems
are cut down to ground level. In
subsequent years, new shoots will
emerge, and, after a number of years
the coppiced tree is ready to be
harvested, and the cycle begins again.

  • @redline I am interested to know why you think it is not copicing? Alan, the man who is featured with his apprentice in the film has been doing this for some 30 to 40 years and he assured me it is copicing. Perhaps you would elaborate a little?

  • Thank you glad someone gets it ;p)
