  • You're right in that most people punch to the head. Watching one of the 2 billion fights on youtube tells us this. It also shows that it can be hard to land a solid hit partly because people are aware of the risk it poses. If fighting is -in reality- scrappy, then its best to learn how to scrap well, in a way no one else expects.

  • MMA organizations are sport based. Something as lethal (or so it looks) as this or krav maga would never be allowed in MMA competition. Chuck Liddell doesn't want his eyes poked out.

  • niga got skills

  • I think every system has it's strengths & weaknesses. Each studio emphasizes differently - pending on the instructor. They are heading in the right direction. Good luck... They have a good thing going for them.

  • i think i'll stick to krav...

  • if their are so many rules in UFC/MMA then it should (No longer) be called ultimate fighting championship, in keysi everything goes , ufc should be called UFS ultimate fighting sport :P

  • Where abouts are the guys that train people in KFM?

  • It was awesome to see this stuff in the Batman movies. I think it'd awesome to see this in more action movies.

  • DUde, their hands are only like that AS they are striking. It adds momentum to your strike. It's actually very effective and you would need to have inhumanly fast reflexes to counter. Keysi is actually very similar to Krav Maga in some aspects, and both of them are extremely effective for real fighting.

  • I agree with your opinion on the ground & pound. KFM has brutal ground & pound application

  • To hit me, you have to get close to me. If you can touch me, i can touch you.

  • 2/2

the frequent use of headbutts especially to the chest and back (might have something hard in a coat pocket or a kevlar vest), the extra space in the mid section from this guard, the little use of kicks and knees, and the practicality of that multiple opponent scenario. i think all and all its pretty cool, and in the right hands brutal, but theres a tiny bit of room to botch it with the extra risks and the fact that most of it is in fighting (and theres some tall people out there)
