Nice piece. I own a early gen (like when NH first started) GRP Recon and a late 2011 Enforcer. Both are excellent shooter but I really see finer action job on the late model gun (BTW, the Phillips built the GRP so its no turd ).
As awesome as this looks, still a Kimber guy. Haven't had a good history with Nighthawk quality, both coatings and parts. Maybe its just me, but there is no replacement for my Kimber Custom II.
Are you a 1911 smith? Do you have all the tooling and milling equipment setup? You have to understand that there is more than just an aesthetic difference between a 500 dollar 1911 and one that costs 2,000+. If after actually taking the time to research the differences, if you still feel that the price isn't justified, don't buy one. But sending your 1911 off to a reputable smith to have this type of work done isn't exactly going to be cheap.

Check the Nighthawk website, no magnaport on either model

What kind of benefit does that slide design even have?
It looks like most of this stuff you could to to your own 1911 and only pay about a quarter of what they're asking.
