@tcuk The govt should NOT get involved in Iran but people can support the people of Iran.-govt is EVIL they KILL opposition they arrested rival candidate & lawyers of prisoners are arrested/tortured. Protesters are killed, arrested, tortured them. People of Bahai faith arrested/killed/tortured. Many want change in Iran but they are OPPRESSED. There is NO justice or human rights in Iran. @tcuk Unable to watch that link dunno why. Yes individuals might kill animals...but this a religion that has taught to shun dogs and in some Islamic countries it is against the law to own a dog. In Iran a 70 yr old man was arrested for walking his dog. In Iran they can shoot dogs dead on the street. They also execute a lot of people, hang children and rape victims and even torture lawyers who defend prisoners & threaten to kill political rival Mousavi....regime is evil

@tcuk in popular culture dogs were considered filthy animals that ought not share living space of religiously observant. Anti-dog prejudice survived into modern times & ownership of dogs continues to be frowned upon. In Muslim world dog ownership is common only among Bedouins, law enforcement, & Westernized higher classes..

@ELSOL102 Tradition(and misinformation) and what the Quran says are two different things. Again, please stop spreading lies and deceit...whether you are doing it on purpose or out of ignorance. Fact is dogs, at the very least, are allowed to protect live stock and from burglars and Quran forbids any torture/suffering of any living thing. Infact nowhere in the Quran says dogs are explicitly disallowed as pets but people have their own agendas and create whatever rules that suits them.

Hostility to dogs is further expressed claiming that angels will not enter a home that has a dog, or that the company of dogs voids a portion of a Muslim’s good deeds. Biases against dogs reach an extreme point that claim Prophet commanded Muslims to slaughter dogs except farming, hunting.

@tcuk It depends-conservatives & fundamentalists believe dogs are unclean. I have Muslims friends from Mali who believe this. Mohammad didn't like dogs & said they were unclean, so many Muslims do not like dogs. In Iran can shoot a dog so the pet owners live with that reality. So I'm sure the Taliban doesn't like dogs...in some Islamic countries owning dogs is illegal...it depends...yet my Egyptian friend said her relatives have a guard dog; they are not fundamentalists.

These dogs are lucky because Muslims are taught that dogs are unclean and most will not have dogs as pets. I'm looking for the video where they are killing stray dogs on the streets of Iraq.
