@tehrulez I don't believe god disowns people, but it's like having a puppy who you love and get angry with for peeing on the floor, or having a kid that grows up and makes bad choices, doesn't mean you don't still love them even if the screw up. I believe in a God of love. The bible says a lot of things, many of which I do not claim to understand, but taking 1 or 2 or 3 ideas from any book out of context or without prior knowledge of the subject makes no sense.

Sir, while I do not hold to the belief in a higher power, I applaud and respect you for understanding what Jesus was trying to teach his fellow men. Indeed, I believe if he was here today, he would be lamblasting the religious leaders of today as he did the in his day for using religion for their personal gain. We as people, regardless of belief, need to work together for the greater good on things we can agree on, rather than tearing each other apart.

@FrenziedRoach Thanks for the comment. It's always nice to hear. And I obviously agree with everything you said, except for my belief in a higher power. But petty differences whether in religion or otherwise lead down a destructive path. If people could share their point of view and respect others even when they disagree, the world would be a very different place.

If God is love, what's his beef with cripples? According to the Vatican, he has cured numerous people of diseases such as cancer, so how about giving back a limb? I know it's a common argument, but it is one that is yet to be answered.
