  • Guys, this is Robert from Ohio. I am a German and French teacher, and I am learning Spanish. I have not been able to find anything like what you offer. You are doing a great service for Spanish learners around the world. I hope you add more videos to You Tube. There need to be some videos of two people conversing, don't you think? Anyway, just keep on doing this. You are filling a big gap in Spanish instruction! Thanks!

  • Lleno mi vida con Espanol usando lada a lado textos tambien.

  • Well, comprehension is the only valuable skill involved here...in my opinion.. comprender and everything else falls into place...grammar and everything else...simply making sense of what you hear is all that is needed in 'learning a second language' How one listens though is a very interesting subject..it cannot be thru the screen of their first language ... it will never produce fluency nor fluent comprehension if there is any thinking at all involved..

  • @nacotete

The practical point being: Listening for recognition and listening for comprehension are two different skills.

" they can;t understand the spoken word nor speak themselves.... nothing!"

Correction: They can't recognize it. They haven't recognized it to not understand it. They don't even receive what there is not to understand. But what they have received to understand they'll understand better by reading.

  • @ inkstersco

'of course reading helps with comprehension'....gee that's funny, I have students come to me all the time some with volumes of good reading under their belts ..others who read a Spanish newspaper every morning and although they are good hard working learners... they can;t understand the spoken word nor speak themselves.... nothing! So, I have a hard time agreeing with your statement.

  • @nacotete

No. You're confusing recognition with the other two.

Of course reading helps with comprehension.

  • Este aqui es un ejemplo de un leccion buena, porque habla rapido y naturalmente, qual es importante, pero no demasiado rapido que yo no tuviera esperanza de entender (no es solo ruido).

  • Marina, has terminado con Dreams from my father?

  • Hola, soy checa y aprendo español hace seis, siete años. Siento mucho no tener a nadie con quien podría hablar en español y soy autodidacto. Yo visito muchas páginas en español, escucho artistas cantando español, si leo un artículo y hay vocablos que no conozco, los escribo y aprendo de memoria. Creo que soy la única a la que ayudan sus vídeos. Gracias!
