  • Before jumping into handstand I pay particular attention to my hands and make sure they feel grounded and connected to the earth sending the energy up into my arms. Second, I connect deeply to my breath and draw into my core. From here, bend my knees (exhale), then jump on the inhale, looking forward between my hands.

It's always a good idea to lengthen upward when in handstand while at the same time feeling rooted through the hands and arms. No sinking into the shoulders.

    Hope this helps!

  • from the downward dog, before you bend your knees for the the momentum to jump up into the handstand balance, on what part of the body in partiular are you focusing your attention on, as jump up into the handstand? Also, should i allow my shoulders to sink into my rib cage...or should i protract my shoulders away from the ground and really focus on lengthening. I would love to hear your advice. Your form is beautiful :)

  • Beautiful demonstration! Wonderful control.
