I agree with you both, I dont have many friends. I have had toxic friends, but what helped me was that I got married and eventually moved out of the state and away from certain people. Over time, if they were true friends, they asked family members how i was and were updated. If I thought it was genuine, I would respond. If not, I kept it moving. Im kind of a loner anyway! I have my parents that I keep in touch with, and I have my own family. They keep me happy!

This was soooo on point! People have to recognize "toxic" relationships and decide what they're willing to do about them. The longer you hold on to these relationships, the worse they become. My husband has a motto..."make yourself a person worthy of respect, and then demand that respect from others." And it makes perfect sense. If you don't respect yourself you truly won't get the respect you deserve from others around you. Great video! 5/5
What do you do when the "user" is an aging, verbally abusive parent?

If a person is toxic for you they're toxic - no matter who it is or what blood you share. You gotta protect yourself from anything or anyone that can hurt you.
