@denivelacia Not so much if you listen carefully and pay attention to the safety instructions. Flame is a good 6" away from you (barring a mishap, which is why I only do moves I feel I can control) AND moving. It's an awesome feeling.

@Caroleeena - Oooh, thank Mulder for me! And of course, yourself for "passing me the flame"....and all the cheering communities (both times) - and Dick for being such a support. The wicks were clamp-ons - I kind of liked the 5 that I had at Hoop Con, but they do make grabbing-the-hoop-between-wicks a bit trickier - and, as you say, there's something in the four directions. I guess I'm a Real Fire-Hooper now and can start thinking about what I can DO with a fire hoop.....

Go Martha!!! You look beautiful. I love those long gloves on you. Very flattering. You are so fierce!!!!! I feel proud and happy watching you and I love hearing everyone cheering you on. It even got Mulder yelling along. You have a fan in him too! Beautiful spin Martha. And I really like your four wick hoop. I love four wicks. They represent the four directions to me and make a very cool effect. Yay!!!! Great job.
