If you want an easy-to-use linux Distro, I would suggest Ubuntu. MOST linux distros are free, including Ubuntu, Fedora, Yellow Dog, Arch, Debian, etc. You can go to any one of their sites and download the ISO. Burn it to a disc using ImgBurn or a program like it, and then install it! It's really not that bad. :)
