Hi! I want to ask you about the brakes. I have the idea of making a goped and thought about using this type of bicycle brakes. What can you tell me about it, does it brake ok?, I mean are they suitable for a city use? I don't want to ride it at high speeds, but, you know, a good pair of brakes is necessary.

@Cowboy332344 so because "legally"u dont need a helmet you think that will magically stop the concrete from smashing your face when/if you ever crash?

@LvBioDream get a used cheap electric scooter and either buy a old yard equipment motor or get one off ebay or sometrhing

Nice job! Have you considered sticking a tuned pipe of some description on? i'm sure that would give you a nice power boost and maybe make it slightly less noisy.
i made one for my daughter when the cheapest was about £600 in the uk years ago get a helmet though you'll end up like special ed if you fall off

It goes only 35 kilometers an hour so in Holland you don't need to wear a helmet with that speed

that looks like a lot of fun to make and it would keep you bizzy for a long time. but that cheap thing is probably going to have major issues in the future. but if your on a budget then this is better than nothing right? good job

you're right, the bearing inside the engine is carying all the weight because the spindle is pushed on the rear tire. And it is at his end. But I've drivin over 1200 kilometers and it still works.
