You know a lot of people think that biology is hard but here we make it easy for you, so here we go.
Cells need energy to build new molecules, and to break up the old ones to.
And we have enzymes to help breakdown food and the substrate is what the enzyme binds to.
The part of the enzyme that binds to the substrate is called the active site and it works great so that our food can digest the way that will help us feel good throughout the day.

Then there's competition from the molecule and the substrate trying to get position of active site in an enzyme (Mate!)
So now that you know bout enzymes, you can pass you bio test and maybe get an A right. then you can go home tonight and watch the simpsons till you filled with delight. (what!)
