  • By the way, who the hell judges the quality of ANYTHING based on an amateur bootleg recording? Well, obviously some tools do.

  • Hearing someone say Geoff's voice is "shot" makes me laugh. They open the show with this song, and as someone correctly stated that would make it a warm up song. Regardless of this, this is a VERY cool version of the song. Tate sings it in a lower register and the band plays it slower. It is THEIR song and they can do what the hell they want with it. I saw them do this live a few days ago, and was amazed by how good it sounded. He's Geoff Tate...who are you?

  • The person (moresugar) talking about Stryper forgot to mention that Michael Sweet has God on his side protecting his vocal chords. hahah..oh, haha..

  • He's cheating for sure, but I think of this as his warm up song now. I've heard a show from '05 where they opened with this like this and then went into En Force and he did it just fine. Plus he has to save up for Take Hold at the end of the show.

  • I believe he's singing it down a fifth, but this song is ridiculously high anyway. I'm sure he can still do it, but it's a lot of strain to stay up there, especially since he did smoke.

  • Tate is a bit off his "game" compared to the glory days of the Ryche, but he still sounds pretty damn good for a guy nearing 50!!

  • What? They brought the key down an octave and he's not going up for the high notes, he's going down.

  • WOW WOW WOW! totally restored my faith in GT's voice. I thought smoking and age changed his voice so much.... this song proves he can sound just like he was in 86. He does trade in some high parts, but some lines he does, you can totally tell its still the same man we heard on RFO. AWESOME!
