We were so fortunate to be able to attend this traditional singing and dancing that a local primary school in Botswana showcased. There are two teachers at the school who studied traditional dance, one of whom is in the video. They enter competitions regularly and were about to compete the weekend following this performance.

  • Well that's going way too far, I think.

The only thing Apartheid did was unite a lot of people around the world either for or against it.

These days the supporters have mysteriously disappeared.

African culture never needed Apartheid and let's say good riddance to that shit.

  • My god. Africa has a furture. Thsis is one of the unintended consequence of Apartheid, the boers unwittingly kept alive an aspect of Africa that has all but dissapeared elsewhere, the rich, beautiful African cultural tradition. Look it is done by school going children who can learn computer science and be furture world opinion makers. From experience that kind of participatory, group dance never leaves your system, it is so comforting and fulfilling. It is a blessing
