Instructional video on how to install a HID conversion kit from Diode Dynamics.

Note: In this video you'll see me pull off my passenger side headlights, which I've previously installed the HID kit using manufacture method of installing the lights. This video will show you how to undo the manufactures way and install the lights with out drilling the holes in the dust caps and the ballast and the control box will be hidden within the head light housing.

  • Have you had any issues now that you have been using them for a little while now. I just think that placing all that wiring inside of the housing would generate some form of heat and damage the product.

  • @cgyeager Nope, no issues at all.

  • hello so if i install that way then i dont need to make any hole on the dusk cap?

  • @dlatldid, No you don't have to drill the holes. Just make sure your HID kit is a 35w slim ballast. The bigger ballast will not fit in the headlight housing. Also you can't use the wiring harness if you install the HIDs this way.
