@deechisha Yes they do.It depends on the kind of Buddhism they practice and their own interpretation of their faith.Many Buddhist monks in Thailand eat meat.Almost 95% of Thais are Buddhist and most people eat meat.It is different to places like Southern India where most people are vegetarian.Just because these monks eat meat doesn't make them 'fake'.How do you know what is in their hearts or minds?Who are you to say who is fake and who is genuine?

@deechisha some do, it depends on the specific school of buddhism. In nepal, for example, the climate is generally unsuitable for growing a vegetarian diet so monks regularly eat meat.
