Mr. Pete. I just learned something today from you. Like the saying goes, you're never to old to learn. I'm 55, been a toolmaker for 30 years and have taught many people how to machine, but the magnets and the thin Sine Bar on the lathe compound is a heck of an idea. Also, thanks for all of your videos. I really enjoy them. When I started in the trade, I was trained by an older gentlemen like you. It's a shame that the common sense machining is not embraced by the younger generation today.
Brilliant. Your videos are brilliant.I wish my tutors would have been so clear and concise when I was an apprentice at technical college. Thank you for sharing your knowlege,as we never stop learning.
Thank you very much Mr. Pete. I'm 55 years old learning the things I should have learned when I was a younger man. Wish I had been in your shop class! Good job!
Mrpete222, I was a welder for about 20 years until an injury. Use to weld for a company who made machine tools of all things. Now I have been learning how to run the tools I use to weld. I wanted to say your 2 pt series on Sine bars was incredible. Ironically I would make fixtures to clamp parts for welded angles the same but not nearly as deep as you have shown. Mostly alot of trial and error. Just wanted to say thanks for the video and you have really perked my interest to pursue this more now
