The Edge, TV Ad, Newfoundland and Labrador

The people of the Flat Earth Society believe that this place is one of the four corners of the world; the very edge of the earth.

Nowhere in the world looks like Newfoundland and Labrador the most easterly point of North America, perched on the edge of a continent. This chapter evokes the strange and terrible beauty of our landscape and seascape, in stark contrast to the typical, Photoshopped and plastic images found in most tourism advertising.

@SAGEFRAN6 this ad was filmed in and around the community of Spiller's Cove on the Eastern Region of the island.

And the man in this film looks an awful lot like the late Leo Ferrari of Fredericton, my former philosophy prof at St Thomas U and the man who started the Cdn Flat Earth Society! In actual fact the actor is a local guide at "Random Passage" and the resemblance is a coincidence. But I think Leo would have liked this ad.
