This is the first video of my recently completed Surfliner Cab Car. It was installed by MilePost 38 in Anaheim Hills by their DCC expert, Mr. Wells and he did a fantastic job! I am very happy with this entire set but now with having the cab car fully functioning, I can't think of anything else that I would rather have! There was just one problem with the LokSound decoder, I'm not sure how to turn the ditch lights off when I put the train in "Pull" mode, but the again, I have the same problem with the loco when it's in "Push."

The only thing that will be added to this set now are figures. I have the Amtrak personnel, now I just need to get the seated passengers.

Special thanks to Mr. Wells for his hard work and terrific effects with this model!

Please rate and tell me what you all think!

  • have some pics that i could use?

tried to contact look model and get set of cars from them

but it seems they have not been on for a while...

  • @night1204 Yeah, this is a brass set from Overland that was released in the early 2000's, and they are very rare and hard to come by. I have only seen a few of these ever come up for auction on ebay and this was the only complete set that I've ever seen. There have been several people asking for them to make them in plastics, but I have not heard of anyone actually making them. There is a website with the kit to make them (unionstationproducts(.)com), but other than that, nothing.

  • are those N scale or HO

  • @night1204 HO

  • @yuriilev This was shot with my old camera and it was trying to adjut to the sunlight coming in through the open garage door and the light reflecting off of the train itself, since its all brass.
