It sounds like he had problems with his SOS (sound on sound)effect unit. I blame Pete Cornish for that !

That wasn't feedback from too much reverb it was most likely coming from an idle instrument in which the channel had not been shut down. Excessive reverb feedback would have screached. This was a continuous tone.
And how can anyone tell whether he is supposedly "drunk" the quality of the video is not clear enough. This chap drinks tea before and during a performance anyway.
