Stay Crunchy- Ronald Jenkees Drums by Wilden Nord

This one was incredibly fun to do. I love the somewhat slow tempo and crazy feel of this song. I did my best to stay true to it and add a little of my own in too. I also tried my best Ronald impression! (This took more takes than the drums... lol) Hope you like it! More coming soon!

  • What kind of snare, or snare head do you use? And mic set haha, it sounds so perfect.

PLEASE REPLY lol, my bday is coming up and I need to know what to buy :)

  • @mcdizzal Sorry for the late reply but this drum set is actually really crappy. i got lucky with the sound somehow... its a rockwood beginner set

  • Think Ronald will be mad if I set my rap over this?

  • @BSHimself Dude Go for it! that would be awesome!

  • my favorite drum cover of this song.... not too much flare, just right. also it has that deep impact feeling much like John Bonham

  • @bunjamons Thanks Man!

I go for not too flashy and thats a huge compliment being compared to Bonham so thank you.

  • The bass shaking the camera is actually a pretty cool effect, haha. Nice cover. Your timing is impeccable.

  • good humour ;) dressing and looking like Ronald ;) good playing! dint like the sound of snare, but good job :)

  • It's incredible the freedom Youtube brings. Who could imagine that two dudes in their bedrooms could - at a distance - do this sound. My favourite Jenkees' song, and your drumming made it even better, my firend. Congrats to you both from Brazil.

  • Immitation... is the most sincere. You do this justice by being as exact as you possibly can to the original. Not easy when it's computerized. Sounds great. Kudos.

  • you are just magic

  • @theonlyalexoliveira snares that is...on toms you could spend a bit more, and don't use cheap condensers for overheads, that's where you get your fidelity.

  • @mcdizzal if you can't get a great snare sound with an Shure SM57, you need a new snare or new tuning...don't waste your time with expensive mics as far as drums are concerned.

  • This beat almost has a dubstep feel to it.

I can just imagine this track being in the background of a dubstep remix.

  • Wooow :'O You're awesome!

  • dude nice playing! sounds great! i think i have this exact set and i know for sure i have the same snare. at that drum roll build at around 2:22 i would probably slow it down to 16th notes just to stay on beat and maybe make those 16ths rim shots (just to be snappy ;) you should have at least 50,000 views on this im surprised there aren't more

    stay crunchy bro!
