Thank you! It is a strat but heavily modified. You are hearing a Seymour Duncan "little 59" mini humbucker which, in my opinion, is much better than a strat single coil... At least for heavy tones.

To answer your questions... I recorded it dry and miked the amp. Then I took the audio from the miked recording and imported it to pro tools where I added a bit of verb and delay. The reason I did it that way was because my camera's mic is low quality and usually distorts even at low volume. On this amp there are always 2 vol knobs in the signal. The 2nd and 4th knobs from the btm right are the vol knobs used in this clip. As you can see, the volume is choked.
