Why is it that people always test out their cameras on nature shots? haha maybe because everything in nature already looks really nice anyway :P

Just some simple test shots from a short while back when I purchased the Jag35st static adapter for my video camera and was just getting used to filming with it. It's a really cool little gadget at a decent price.

Quick edit to music composed by a friend of mine, Keenan Grundy

Hope you like it!

  • did you use an achromat or macro?

  • i didnt use either, i believe i just zoomed a bit and used the widest aperture

    does the achromat help significantly?

  • Thats the reason I am asking, I am interested in getting a Jag for my HV40 and I was wondering if there would be too much vig without an achromat. What the achromat does is reduces vig and also reduces chromatic aberation.

  • yeah i've previously thought of buying an achromat but what kept me from from purchasing it was that even with the great abilities of a 35mm adapter, it's still not autofocus so i was considering buying a dslr with hd video...

    what do you think?

  • interlacing

  • yeah this was before I learned about that haha

    thanks for the tip!

  • "Why is it that people always test out their cameras on nature shots? haha maybe because everything in nature already looks really nice anyway" hey good point

  • you're welcome!

  • Ok Thanks a bunch!

  • Just a really simple tip I found to be tremendously helpful myself: I realized that putting a piece of tape over the focus adjustment wheel helped avoid so much trouble

especially with the hv30 i use, my finger kept undoing the focus calibration you have to do with the jag adapter.

hopefully it'll save you some trouble as well :)
