Just a really simple tip I found to be tremendously helpful myself: I realized that putting a piece of tape over the focus adjustment wheel helped avoid so much trouble
especially with the hv30 i use, my finger kept undoing the focus calibration you have to do with the jag adapter.
hopefully it'll save you some trouble as well :)

did you use an achromat or macro?

i didnt use either, i believe i just zoomed a bit and used the widest aperture
does the achromat help significantly?

Thats the reason I am asking, I am interested in getting a Jag for my HV40 and I was wondering if there would be too much vig without an achromat. What the achromat does is reduces vig and also reduces chromatic aberation.

yeah i've previously thought of buying an achromat but what kept me from from purchasing it was that even with the great abilities of a 35mm adapter, it's still not autofocus so i was considering buying a dslr with hd video...
what do you think?
