This is my first series hope you like it:)

Demi's P.O.V.
It was only 8 in the morning, but I was already up. I was just about to go into the kitchen to start making breakfast when the phone rang. When I picked up the phone the caller ID said Joe. Wasn't he suppose to be at the hospital? His girlfriend had just given birth to a little girl last night. Not knowing that answering the phone would change my life forever I answered.
"Hello?" I said into the receiver.
"Demi, um can you please come down to the hospital?" he asked. It sounded like he was trying not to cry.
"Um, yeah sure. I'll be there in about 10 minutes." I said and then hung up.
I was really confused but went upstairs to get dressed, then head to the hospital. I got to the hospital when I said I was and went up to the maternity ward. Since I was here yesterday I didn't need to ask the receptionist where the room was. When I walked into the room I saw that the bed was empty and Joe was sitting in the chair holding his baby girl. Tears streaked his face. He looked up when he heard me walk in.
"Hey, what's wrong? Is Camilla in the bathroom or something?" he didn't answer he just shook his head. "Come on Joe, I'm your best friend you can tell me what's wrong,"
"She left," he said in nothing more than a whisper. I was shocked. She left? How could she just leave after giving birth? I thought. Joe stood up and walked over to me.
"Why?" was all I could say. He just shook his head again.
"I don't know. I came in this morning and she was gone. The nurses say they didn't see anything," I felt bad for him. I know he loves Camilla, but it wasn't true love. I pulled him into a comforting hug.
"It's okay, I'll help you with the baby," I said. He pulled away and smiled.
"You really mean that?" he asked and I nodded. He hugged me again but tighter this time. He only pulled away when the baby began to stir. We looked down at her when she opened her eyes. Joe looked up at me and smiled. "You know she doesn't have a name,"
I stared at him shocked. "You want me to name her?" he nodded still smiling. I couldn't help but smile too. "Okay, hmm...how about Charlotte?"
He looked down at her and smiled bigger. "Charlotte. I like that it kinda fits her,"
7 months later
Since that day in the hospital I have kept my promise. Joe moved in with me so I could help him with Charlie (that's what we call her now) full time. Over the last couple of months Joe and I have grown closer and just last month he asked me to be his girlfriend and of course I said yes.
We were sitting in the living watching Charlie play with her toys. She was defiantly a daddy's girl. When she would cry and I couldn't get her to be quite Joe would take her and she immediately stopped at his touch. Sometimes she would stop crying for me or when Joe would hold her she would want me but she was most defiantly a daddy's girl.
"She's really starting to look a lot more like you and less like Camilla everyday," I said.
"Yeah, I guess," he said without emotion. He was still a little sensitive about her.
Charlie stopped playing with her toys and crawled over to us. She learned to crawl about 2 months ago. She came right up to me and stuck out her hands and said her very first word.
"Mama," she said. I was shocked but still picked her up. I was smiling a little and turned to Joe to see him also smiling. He nodded, I was a little confused at first but then I got it. I turned back to Charlie.
"That's right baby girl, mama," I hugged her as she let out a little giggle.
