My baby Walnut tree

Oh my baby walnut tree
I see you every morning
when i wake up
I look from my balcony
yonder past
the green grass
I see you standing there alone
My baby walnut tree
next to the larger trees
Next to the Chestnut the Oak and the Maple
there you stand
Looking forward to a wonderful future
As a walnut tree
You are so young
You are so small
But you have beautiful nuts
My baby Walnut tree
If i were a tree and not a human
I think I would chose you as my bride
to spend the rest of our lives
by the road
As a walnut tree pair
Living happily ever after
In the city of many trees
Oh my baby walnut tree
every time I walk past you
sitting there alone
no one to talk to
Just to gaze at all the humans
passing by
On their bicycles on their feet or in their cars
Standing there all atone with your beautiful nuts
hanging from your branches
to think that maybe one day
someone will pick your nuts and chew on them
maybe a squirrel, maybe a human
but i hope you feel no pain
when your nuts are picked or flicked
What ever they do with your nuts
those nasty squirrels
But if i had a choice
i would keep your nuts as my own
My baby walnut tree
Forever you will be in my heart
I would Marry you today
but i don't think we are very compatible
But this doesn't stop me from
Fantasizing about loving a tree
with beautiful nuts
Good bye my beautiful walnut tree
Good bye until tomorrow when i walk bye
and gaze at your nuts
once more
