Pyrotechnical Door-releasing.... - nice! I assume in case of a crash, nobody has to push a button for that one... but in that crashtest it would have been much nicer if the person removing the door wouldnt had been such a muscle-man but rather a small girl to proof its safety and easy handling :)
@warset Oh man...your comment proves once again that Americans don't have any idea how secure cars CAN be. Especially when they're made in Germany. You know what? SUV vs. Mercedes if like Plastic vs. Steel. And it also might depend on how fast the cars crash. But let me insure you that dying in a Mercedes is pretty unlikely with reasonable speeds. Keep in mind that the Mercedes' material is waaay better than a standart American SUV, so is the saftey and so on.
@godsadog I disagree, you compare 1/3 of a mercedes or audi price cars. Did you see the retail price of an average US car, 15000-19000 euros (us to euro convertion done). For this pricetag you get the engine-transmission-axle-steer ing-suspension components of the mercedes. German cars do not target the same customers. You get what you pay. Now regarding safety, they are on the european-japanese average exc ford F150 In fact nobody should say or write german engineering but money engineering
@FGX318 Actually no, you SHOULD write german engineering. When I mention German engineering I try to point out that German industry producing cars, steel etc. has way more knowledge and better workers / scientiest. E.g. VW is the leading car industry regarding latest inventions for example the automatic parking system. German engineering is not "money engineering" as you cannot buy knowledge, which is the treasure we either sell for lots money, or never give away to be market leaders.

Be good to know that if some hits you, say at a 120mph, you at keast survive
Quite a few people who buy cars like this wont always sit at 70mph all the time.
