Poseidon Capsizing Scene

To my knowledge, the best way to take a monster wave is to take it head on. The wave can only capsize a ship head one if it is longer than the ship is high. Take it sideway can result in a dangerous leaning (as in this case), but big ships often can handle it. Take it on the back... well, aircraft carrier can be in serious trouble if she is to take a big wave on the back. Few ships survive a wave that hits from behind. Of course, you can do researches to validate this. Forgive me for my English.

@jgrab1 Actually seeing the actors from the original on the tilting set made that movie! The new version is full of CGI and while some of it is impressive, it jut doesn't have the same effect.

@BathorysGraveland I agree, the original was a lot more believable, especially in peoples reactions. The people on the dance floor wouldn't have any idea that a full on tsunami is coming, but with the announcement, "ladies and gentlemen, please brace for heavy rolling" everyone starts screaming, kids are crying, and everyone's in a mad panic? The original was a lot more believable, people just kind of standing there like "wait, what's going on? :|" until they're flying around on their butt.
