  • why does she say "...i looked down and saw myself chopping up my fingers instead". her fingers are in perfect shape! is the original play available online???

  • @shansuf In Stephanie's case, without her hands, she cannot play her violin and create the music she loves so much. Her vision had to do with the fact that although you cannot see an outward deformity, the neurons aren't firing in her her brain that tell her fingers what to do, so to her they have become useless. And since they are useless, they should be removed. I think it's a subtle reference to a passage in the Bible that says what she has said.

I don't know about the original play, sorry.

  • Absolutely brilliant! Julie Andrews is as wonderfull as ever. All the cast is great! This is one of Julie's finest performances! How much time do we have to wait for a DVD edition?

  • Unfortunately, publicity for DFO was very little and limited to Great Britain... it'll probably be years before a DVD is released, if at all. :(

  • Hello fans please help: se...come /surcome?? to our fear or confront it directly.

What do they say, I could not find a similar word in my dict.?

Thank you very much for posting.

  • She says, "We can either succumb to our fears or confront it directly."

    Hope that helps. =]

  • who would say that few year laters Julie would lost her wonderful voice as Stephanie lost the possibility to play violin! So sad.

  • I actually have this on DVD. They are really difficult to find, but thankfully I have it.

  • @h2orocks2196 I have seen many of her younger photos, and yes, it is good to see them in the movie. She has said that this is one of the most difficult movies she has made.

  • @shansuf I agree they should show some signs of cuts she got, scraches or smth. She said it happened last week, doesn't seem like.

  • @shansuf thank you! :)

  • @oneadmmlife..
