Neumann, Sennheiser, and Shure all do the same thing. It's really not that hard to remember, plus I'd rather take the time remembering the microphones polar patterns and frequency response than it's name.

yeah there was a lot of sibiliance but it wasnt some of the horrible cheap sibiliance of other mics ive used. i also liked the warmth of her bass. idk what the mic sounds like but her voice aint too bad maybe a tad too much sib.

I take it the female vocal track in the AT demo video was NOT done with an AT5040? Might have been a cool idea to use the 5040 so we'd then have a vocal sample. Lots of sibilance in the demo video.
