Yo-Yo Ma with Daniel Barenboim and the Chicago SO in this performance from 1997. This concerto will forever be associated with Jaqueline duPre, but YYM gives a performance that is beyond breathtaking. It is fitting that Barenboim is the conductor; I'm sure he feels this concerto is still in very good hands.

@Mizuno6857 same, i listen to house, techno, trance, electro, dubstep, dnb, jazz, blues, funk, 80's pop, old hip hop (80s and 90s), classic rock, reggae, latino, basically every genre of music except for gospel and country, but there is always that appeal that art music has, everything from bach, mozart, to contemporary like hans zimmer has a special appeal.

I'm mad there's no sheet music in front of him and the whole time he's playing his head is back not even looking at the cello, he looks so concentrated and focused and he makes it look soooooo easy...but I guess since he's Yo-Yo Ma he got it like that lol
