  • that's wat my coach used to spent times on me gosh i remeber i used to hate that drill so much cus its such a energy demanding exercise ! but it's good for u

  • This kid is going to be nervous his whole life! very funny the way the coach shouts at him, he will answer to people calling there dogs in the street!

  • lol that kid can barely hit over the net and hit it in

  • @TheLeilisa if you're a guy its not that bad but not a advantage. if you're a girl, its a good height

  • @TheRamstoss I'm pretty sure the drill is just supposed to ingrain the idea of recovery, not worrying about court positioning. In a real game, u don't get a fed ball going at 1 mph either.

  • im 5ft 10 is it good for Tennis?

  • watch oscar wegner's ideas on using the head to assist the smooth transfer into the first recovery step - been used in some martial arts for a very long time. You can still keep the vision steady while doing it. Watch Serena Williams and Federer.

It would be good to time this student's recovery speed, and measure after three sessions of this drill.

  • You don't get all the way back to the middle after hitting crosscourt.

  • @topspintennis Hello John. I thought I'd let you know about an iPhone app called Zigyt that I recently released. It features over 20 agility training drills, some specifically for tennis like this one. I'd be interested to know what your impressions of it are. If you do a web search on Zigyt, you should find it.

    Thanks,

    Paul Kaufmann

  • @slenkar Hi there. I thought I'd let you know that I've made an iPhone app for agility training called Zigyt. It includes agility training drills like this one plus many others. If your son has an iPhone, I think the app could really help with his development.
