The Taliban hide amongst civilians, forcing the coalition forces to sometimes kill innocent people to win the war. These deaths are regrettable, but our forces do all they can to avoid civilian casualties, often putting themselves in harm's way.

The Taliban's acts of brutality, by contrast, are very deliberate, and take no heed of civilians unless it is to use them as human shields, or props for their propaganda.

This is not islam, and please do not conjugate this with islam because islam promotes peace. they are radical extremists who are using violence on the basis of islam to pass their mesage across. They are murderers and influenced by the wahabi extremist ideology who derived from saudi arabia in the 1700s. Even then many muslims were killed who folowed the true islamic beliefs and practices. While the perpetrators of such acts may be the minority, the number of Muslims who support and justify such acts is far too substantial to be termed a small minority.

The proof is in the behavior of "mainstream Islam".

They riot over cartoons, yet remain silent over beheading videos.

They justify terrorism against Israel, & revere suicide bombers with posters and songs.

They cheer in the street and hand out candy on 9/11.

They chant death to America by the thousands.

Oh yes... this IS Islam.

Afghanistan people has no future at all. They have almost no education, little proper health care facilities, a really destabilized security institution and the inability to defend the sovereignty of their country. I have not heard one imam or any muslim scholar come out and condemn this behaviour that the entire free world sees as a way of life for muslims....therefore islam is for the promotion of violence....the rule of law in any muslim country is violence not peace

This *is* Islam, if they really were not an aggressive and outward hostile religion, who celebrate killing, they WOULD NOT be building a mosque at ground zero. There is a strong tradition in Islam of building masques at sites where they have won a battle over their enemy's - wake up folks... it's right in front of you!
