A transcription by Francisco Tárrega (1852-1909) of the Barcarola Veneziana Op. 19 n. 6, one of the "Lieder Ohne Worte" (Songs Without Words) composed for piano by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy (1809-1847).
This is a part of a concert played at "Ongaku No Kizuna" Festival in Japan in May 2002. The guitar is made by Antonio de Torres, 1887 SE 107.

  • I would like to study this song do you have the transcription for guitar?

  • not good. he tried to put to much feeling and he ended up making such a beautiful song ugly. just what happens with women, using too much make up and paint on their face , ending up ugly as well. not trying to offend the artist, just an opinion

  • FOR ME , YOU ARE LIKE JULIAN BREAM.

  • @jonewer i was refering to you saying "learn to read music", poor thing.

  • @LadyLorridaile I dont know why you have to go around insulting people. I said he was very good but not as good as Bream. Because frankly, no one is as good as Bream.

I am not judging anyone, its my opinion and I'm entitled to it.

Also, you're ugly and you smell.

  • @jonewer you're just a poor stupid comparing with this artist, who has a world-wide fame... now YOU learn to have a bit of respect before judging!

  • excellent with feelings , interpretation and techniques. one of my best preferred guitarists. I wish you more success.

  • Ah, I stumbled onto this like an unexpected flower in a field. Beautiful--thank you for posting.

  • Excellent cantabile, expression, colour, contrast and interpretation of this Mendelssohn. Those who cannot produce a similar sound out of a decent guitar should refrain from playing....until they have understood the importance of tone production.
