Since winter is around the corner for many viewers, now would be a good time to have your vehicle and lawn mower's battery checked. Winter does take a toll on the battery. Here is a way you can check your battery's condition for the up coming months and take care of any problem before winter settles in.

  • @andres220 It is a 6 & 12 Volt Battery Load Tester No. 1852 by Solar . On the back it says Time Saver , and that it was a trademark of Century Mfg. Co. Mpls. MN . U.S.A. Apparently it was made in 1989 . The needle will shake a little because it is just really spring loaded . While it may be a good brand name , instead of a China brand , most of the brand names are made in China nowdays, anyway . This one was made before China took over .

  • Where is your battery tester made in? I see that the needle shakes when you where testing the car battery.... the one that I have from china doesn't do that.... weird.

  • @mbilalbhatti Not at all. It ensures that both the engine/chassis and body provides electrical current a direct path to ground. Some manfactures use a cable connecting the body to the engine since the alternator is grounded thru its casing/mounts brackets. That's why you only have the '+' battery cable connected to the alternator. -MrFixit

  • I see my car's battery's ground terminal is attached to engine as well as car body. Thats strange!
