Presented at Emporia State University's eLearning Institute. Todays students, the digital natives constantly
immerse themselves in current technology and adapt quickly to new things. As educators we feel as though we are in a fight for their attention. Why make learners feel that they must unplug to learn with us? How about we make them feel plugged into something that is relevant to them. E-learning and other student-centered and student-perspective
strategies can bring the digital native to the learning experience we want for them. Math, language, science, tech skills and soft skills happen so easy in the real world - we need to go no farther for inspiration and a big clue to engaging our students.
