@publicmario17 oh thats ok then - as long its only 9 families that have to live without their dead relatives knowing that someone from the same side was incompetent enough to murder 9 of his allies. as you so glibly put it - you fucking try again
-
Incredible, but so sad. This truly is what war is really like. Thank God John Simpson survived.

Most friendly fire nowadays comes from aircraft shooting on ground targets, so if there is some of it coming from the US its because the US provides most of the air support, and the RAF has had almost as many friendly fire incidents in the past few years as the US

@701shep Out of 47 British military personnel who died during the 1991 Operation Desert Storm, 38 were killed by enemy fire and nine to friendly fire. Nine of them were killed in one incident when a USAF A-10 ground-attack aircraft attacked a group of two Warrior IFVs.
yep, the Iraqi killed more Brits than Americans. try again.

@kentamitchell Agreed that Italy along with Austria probably have the worst military records in Europe but don't forget Lepanto. I know it wasn't solely won by the Venetians but they probably played the most decisive role in the battle, which is one of the most important ever fought. Oh and don't tell me Venice doesn't count as Italy, if it doesn't then neither does Rome.
@BoyMunkey08 Goering said it best:
1 Italian...a tenor
2 Italians...a disorderly retreat
3 Italians....an unconditional surrender.
The Italians haven't accomplished anything militarily since the fall of the Roman Empire 1,500 years ago.
Losing a war to*Ethiopia*???
