Justin is a very humble young man for one with such enormous talent. He does not "show off his chops." He plays his best each time he sits behind the set. Listen to him. He is contributing to the music.

I think this kid definitely has chops, and he also has his own style, but he's somewhat lacking in musicality (at least when he solos). However, he is only 19 and has plenty of time to improve. If he could just learn to think more in terms of playing for the music and less for showing off chops, I think it is very possible that this kid could become one of the next great drummers for the future.

lol every time i start to feel good about my playing abilities i just type "justin faulkner" into youtube and it reminds me that i aint shit! I love watching this kid play because not only is it humbling, but it motivates me to practice more.

this is why I hate youtubers...I put my vids on FB...this dude is crazy nice...how many young guys in this generation do you see playing jazz like that...but everybody got something negative to say...he's probably way better than any of you negative people commenting on here will ever be
