Showing off the Sub-Silent Suppressor custom made for this rifle. It's very quiet and well worth the cost.

Savage MK II 17HM2 with heavy barrel, chopped and threaded for the suppressor, firing CCI HM2 ammo.

  • At the 2:04 mark what looks to be a pumpkin comes a part in spectacular fashion, what brand and what type of 17hm2 ammo was used in that shot and what was the distance between it and the muzzle. Thanks!!

  • @1shot2kilu the ammo was CCI but I've now switched to Eley, as I get better grouping out of it. Cost is about the same, the Eley has purple tips. In this video at 2:04 it's an egg I'm shooting, distance was only about 25m. The pumpkins get shot in my other long range video.

  • where did you get you sub-silence suppressor?

  • @xiongmike21 from the site sub-silentsuppressors com. But he can't sell them outside New Zealand. I've just ordered my 3rd off him for my Howa :-)

  • @KiwiShoot lol ya thats my favourite part about halloween is the leftover pumpkins. Thanks for the great info and happy shooting!

  • @Hollowman110886 it cost me NZ$275 from nzhunter. Within 40m it's good, let's in lots of light at night too when I use it for possums from time to time. I haven't shot it out to 300m, the max was 250m on my other video, nailing those aggressive pumpkins that were attacking me, with a tin of spaghetti as shock troops.

  • @KiwiShoot good if you don't mind how much you get it for? and how is at 300m and within 40m? Thanks for the reply btw

  • @Hollowman110886 still love it. Crystal clear when fully zoomed in, was shooting last week at 175m with no issues at all.

  • How do you like the scope?
