This is the super talented Neko Case performing "Star Witness", from her excellent "Fox Confessor Brings The Flood" CD. This comes from a live concert she did for RAVE HD and the only hard part was choosing which tune to host here.

15 songs and EVERY one was great. This one features incredible guitar work, there's something about the sound of a pedal steel and a Telecaster working together that I find appealing.

@ ameliorative - I totally agree, and i would add that whole verse is perfection. "hey pretty baby get high with me, we can go to my sister's if we say we'll watch the baby" oo-eee, that gets me every time. such an interpretation of simple, pure love to set the next line up with.
