  • Although Heifetz does play a little too fast for my tastes, it is always refreshing to hear someone with technique as immaculate as his, especially per this piece where even professionals have trouble with the runs.

  • of course! Heifetz is the perfect violinist when you want to hear someone play all notes and techiques perfectly.

In my opinion, Heifetz is a little cold on the musicality, but his perfectness overpowers that. He really is perfect on everything!

  • @musicdevotee4life i agree about his technicality. But his musicality is brilliant in my opinion. If you've ever heard his recording of the Melodie by Gluck, or his recording of the Chaconne by Vitali, or him playing the Beethoven Violin Concerto, it just strikes me in the heart. Maybe it's just me though.

  • @zaelinx i heard it just now!!! its beautiful :) to me it sounds like his intonation is really sharp, kinda makes me nervous and gives me the chills xD but he is perfectly amazing :)

  • @musicdevotee4life Cold on the musicality?? Just because he doesn't move like Joshua Bell Doesn't mean that he's not musical. if you had your eyes closed i doubt you'd say that. Heifetz remains as the emperor of violin playing in my opinion. perfect on everything = perfect interpretation too.

    P.S.

if you watch some videos of him up close he actually does move just not to a visible degree to an audience member

  • @musicroxs1021 You completely misunderstood what I was saying xD by 'cold on the musicality' doesn't just mean moving, it means moving the listener's heart. To MY OPINION, he amazed me with his techniques, but not so much with the feeling that he put in this music. im not only talking about 'moving'. i do admit that he's the emperor of violin. i hope you don't think i HATE heifetz, hes one of my favorite violin players.

  • I think that Heifetz is amazing!!

He really is the god of all the violinists in the world (lol)

He plays all of the songs perfectly and yet he still plays them with love and passion. I don't think there is anyone who can be so great except him. He is truly and exquisitely an amazing musician.

    I love you Heifetz!

And thanks for posting this! I've been looking for this recording because this is my favorite concerto ever and I wanted to hear him play it 'cause he's just so awesome. :)

  • @musicdevotee4life who do you think you AREEEEE, running ;round leaving scars, Collecting your jar of hearts, tearing Heifetz' heart apart, you're gonna catch a cold from the ice inside your soulllllll

  • @musicroxs1021 How are you supposed to know that he didnt move??? O.o This video is a picture...

  • Thanks for sharing. He simply is the best.

  • i am so scared...

  • more than perfect, I realy love this peace played by him.

  • this is the best recording of this ive ever heard. that was incredible!!!

  • I honestly think his tempo is perfect especially for nows music, he probably thought ahead to the 21st century just like beethoven thought ahead of his time so does this performer.

  • Wow, all those parts where he's playing fast bits in octave-wide double stops...I dunno, maybe it's slightly easier on violin than viola 'cause your fingers don't have to be quite so far apart, but still, oddly enough it's the bit that struck me as what I would find hardest to do :)

Completely amazing...I think I'll stick with being in the orchestra and playing BEHIND such talented people, thank you very much!! Hahah
