@boyfriendwantedinla I'm posting this as a general reply cos I'm a noob! I am an Australian of Irish decent lucky enough to have a step mother who is Maori, the reason for me finding out at an early age about dame kiri. thank god I was lucky, that's all I can say, to have missed this would be like living and never seeing a sunrise

very beautiful, and I just love how she does not overpower the melody, she knows certain songs don't need you to use the full power of your voice, and it sounds lovely.

I love her singing "Come to the Fair" used to have an old tape of hers with that on it. My Dad and I would drive along singing to it.
