I bought a westinghouse for 400 dollars 2 years ago,it just broke and it will take 300 dollars to fix,very dissapointed,and I took the tv for fix and appraisal to 4 different shops...all made fun of me for being such a sucker,aparently the hole world knows that you can't trust westinghouse,there's 0 customer service,only a phone number where you record your message and a webpage where you give a bunch of personal info,for nothing,never called back.that's my experience with westinghouse/crap.

my tv died after 11 months.good luck getting service.i threw it away and noone took it from the trash.man oh man did that speak for its self.

Man i work at target and we had one of those piece of shits out in 3 weeks after we put up the display.... They are garbage!

AND they told me i woudl have a "new" tv in two weeks. actually it has been four months...and it will be a refurb tv..but I am going to sue wish me luck1

haha. i hear ya! mine wnet out UNDER warranty and I STILL can't get a damn replacement1 I hate them. I have been thru hell! I sent mine in January and it is MAY! They did send me one tv..but it was broken too. seriously! and had over 30 scratches on it! I asked for my original..they refuse to give it back...I am going to have to sue for the $850 I apid for it at Conn's b/c they wont help me. wont even give me contact info to California company where warehouse is.

I had that happen on my sharp tv 42" Screen turned green half of the picture other half black. Paid 2499.00 for that piece of junk. Good thing it was under warranty and got a new tv but not a sharp this time.

Sorry dude. Sometimes that happens no matter the make. You decided to opt out an extended warranty. You took a chance like many do. Some times you win, sometimes you lose.
