  • Definitely clean, skates were on the ice, and Kaleta hit with the shoulder, his elbow or stick never came up

  • The hit was technically clean. Kaleta put his shoulder into Prucha's head- that's why you're told at the age of five to keep your head up when you skate. As for the skates leaving the ice: when he connected with Prucha his skates were on the ice. The force of impact sent him upward, making it appear to be charging. Clean hit. Legal hit. Good hit. Tough break for Pete, great hit for Kaleta.

  • clean hit... Coyotes player was head up facing Kaleta when he got hit

  • Clean hit no doubt

  • This body check is textbook open-ice contact. Whether or not Pat's skate blades left the ice before, or after initial contact is debatable. The blow delivered is as clean as it gets. Elbows tucked, right shoulder to the center of Prucha's sweater. A charging call is thin. I've watched this replay over and over and over. It's too close to call, either way. The one thing that is certain is that opposing skaters better keep their heads up when #36 is out there for the Blue n' Gold.

  • clean, no questions, no elbow, no stick, perfect north, south hit

  • @GongerAllDay if that were true don't u think there would have been a penalty, fine, or suspension. At the very least there would have been a penalty. Obviously a clean hit.

  • @gongerallday I count three (and a half, to get his feet square) strides and I never see his left foot leave the ice. If you want to know what a dirty hit is, watch ovechkin.

  • @tullyswimmer Bullshit and you know it. Look how many strides he took, and he jumped. This guy has no class.

  • @shamere07 once

  • def. clean. skates left ground at the impact, and brought his elbow up to keep balance while mid check/in air.

buffalo gets some good hits at times. kaleta may do some dirty work, but isnt that what a grinder is supposed to do? get good hits, and aggitate.
