Plain talk about the question to ask yourself about the candidates on the issues that are most important to you. Not, "Does my candidate support this?" but "Would my candidate veto a bill about this?"
Examples are Abortion, Homosexual Marriage and 2nd Amendment rights.
With a congress as liberal as we have right now, the real question is not whether or not a candidate supports or would push legislation to support homosexual marriage or taxpayer subsidy of partial-birth abortions. The question is, "Would they veto legislation for those things?"
Also, candidates are voluntary members of a political party for a reason. Look at what their party supports and you will learn much about the person's views. Will a Democratic president try to install a liberal Supreme Court Justice who will advocate abortions and repeal the right of citizens to own firearms? Probably yes. How can I say that? Because Democrats tend to vote against constitutional rights and for abortions. So pay attention to the man's party!
Wow your the first person I've seen that understands that. That Congress is the real threat to me(a gun owner), not the president.
