ABOUT THE PROGRESSIVE AUTOMOTIVE X PRIZE

Our goal is to inspire a new generation of viable, safe, affordable and super fuel efficient vehicles that people want to buy.

$10 million in prizes will be awarded in September 2010 to the teams that win a rigorous stage competition for clean, production-capable vehicles that exceed 100 MPG energy equivalent (MPGe). We are proud to announce that the on-track Competition Phase will be hosted at Michigan International Speedway.

  • i'd hate to be in that orange one at 0:39 going round that tight bend :P

looks like an accident waiting to happen!

  • @djgambitron :) Yes it was the best looking car but it was better than many uglier cars. Probably for the money invested was the best car there.

  • oh man! that car at :31s is so cool looking! when people see that, man they'll want to run right out and buy an electric car. look at those smooth, flowing, aerodynamic lines! even the paint job makes it look fast!

  • Validation = 50%? Why is it blacked out?
