"Limelight" [w/ Backing Track]

Here, I'm using my dad's 1993 PRS CE24 and the Line 6 Tone Port UX2 audio interface. This backing track is one of the more accurate ones. I think the vocalist does a pretty good job of getting close to Geddy's voice.

Anyway, even though I haven't done a Rush song until now, they are one of my favorite bands. Alex Lifeson has some great guitar riffs and really different solos.

About the CE24...

Do you think you can get close to a jazzy tone, with the neck pickup and tone pot rolled down a little? Of course not exactly like a hollow body... but close? :)

@bolocanalberto I'm not too familiar with what separates a good jazz tone from a bad one, but I'll refer you to this video. Paul Reed Smith is demoing a Custom 24, not a CE24, but still, they are quite similar guitars.

What amp settings did you use on the Tone Port?

@diazcamille I think I went a bit overboard actually, lol. I believe it was the Marshall Plexi with a Tube Screamer in front of it with the gain high. And I also added a compressor.
