Ten aid agencies are warning that major conflict could return to southern Sudan unless there is urgent international action to save the peace agreement that ended one of Africas longest and deadliest wars
The 2005 Comprehensive Peace Agreement was signed on 9 January 2005. It ended a devastating 21 year civil war between northern and southern Sudan that cost two million lives and displaced around four million more.
But the agencies warn that a lethal cocktail of rising violence, chronic poverty and political tensions has left the peace deal on the brink of collapse.
Thanks for capturing the human faces in suffering Caroline. I work in Somalia and was to be deployed in Sudan soon, but am having doubts.

Somalia cant be an easy place to work in; certainly there are massive needs in Sudan...people need aid, development and the support of the outside world.
